    I like heat and AC in that order. For many years my DD was a Hot VeeDub never had heater boxes, merged exhaust don't you know. Not too bad in FL but kinda sucked in NY in the winter... BTW last one was a 2110 '66 on a four wheel disc IRS pan with a five speed:cool:

    Thanks for the quick reply! IMHO, your gauge may be inaccurate. Other than your hybrid turbo iirc, our trucks are pretty similar. I'm running the same transmission cooler sandwiched between the condenser and the radiator. I'm pulling a 10k 30ft tow behind trailer and two weeks ago I pulled it...

    That's the CDR. Before the po installed the "hotrod" intake, it had a hose going to the stock air box. Take some time to look at the tech articles, you'll learn a lot about the idi/idit engines.

    It'd be a good idea to run one. However, at stock boost levels and the factory exhaust, Ford didn't think that you needed to monitor the egt's. Most idit guys here have the boost and fuel cranked up at least to 10 ish psi. If you're stock, your probably going to be fine.

    Yep, exactly the same here. 2500 is a happy spot, decent fuel economy and power on tap. Tow 10k- ish, if I hit a big hill much below 2500, I've really got to watch the egt's. If it's steep enough, I've got to slow down enough to make a down shift so that I can keep the revs up and the egt's down.

    Stock the CDR is vented to the intake.

    You mean the fuel delivery problem affecting the shifts? Stranger things have happened, but I doubt it. I'm no e4od expert, but I hate to say it, but sounds like the torque converter might be going tits up. Is the OD light flashing?
