I need some engine lift eye brackets. I use to have a pile of them but I gave it all away when I thought I was getting out of the IDI world. I'm pulling an engine and it doesn't have any. I'm assuming they were removed for the turbo kit. Does anyone have some??
It would be best to pull the engine and get it on a stand. It is much easier to prep the block for new head gaskets and get everything torqued correctly with the engine out. It is a good time to reseal your oil pan as well. It is a pita doing it in the truck. I am actually in the middle of doing...
Goooood morning ! I have an update from RC. They are sending me a new set of springs. Hopefully the new springs will get this sorted out. I am very pleased that they are working with me on this. I was really hoping to not have to ditch the kit and go back to stock, or try to find a d60 swap...
Their customer service leading up to the spring issue has been great. I think they are just trying to figure out what is going on with the springs and how to resolve it, hopefully.
That's what I was thinking :) . Also, to be fair, I think a bad review should include proof. Hopefully they work with me on it for their sake because I will be posting everything here and on some other forums and facebook groups.
I am still waiting to hear back. Originally I called them but have since been emailing and using their live chat. I wanted everything easily documented so that I can share my experience with everyone.
Well it looks like they are closed now and I haven't heard anything, but I figured that would be the case. Hopefully I will hear from them tomorrow.. Unfortunately this whole lift kit mess has put me behind about a month.
It sounds like other people have had similar issues, just not quite as bad as mine. Mine might be the first of a new run of them, maybe they changed something up ...? :dunno
I just chatted with RC again. They confirmed that they do use the same spring for their F250 and F350 kits. They sent my pictures to their R&D team and I should hear back this afternoon, but probably not until at least tomorrow.
Ya I really don't see how it would work even if I was able to force everything together. I'm going to pull the leaves tomorrow and get more measurements.
Thanks!!! So my truck is definitely sitting about 10" higher than stock. I expect it to settle maybe 2", so the ride height would be 8"... I highly doubt it will settle 6" . Even if it does, it won't happen over night and I need this truck fixed asap. I shouldn't have to wait a year for things...
Thank you!!! So my front end is sitting 10" higher than stock! It sits 6.5" higher in the front than the rear and they are telling me it will settle...
I would really appreciate it if someone could take a picture of their stock height F250 with ttb measuring from the center of the wheel to the bottom of the fender. I forgot to before tearing it apart and I need to know where it was before hand. Here is where it is sitting.
Well, I just spoke with Rough Country and sent them pictures. They said " They will settle over time" . I know they will settle some, but it isn't even at an acceptable angle to be driven. Even IF the most aggressive alignment could get the tires at an acceptable angle it would still ride like...
