I take mine on long distance trips as often as time and money will allow. Not cross country.. but into the back country of UT, NV, ID, MT and WY. Oftentimes during the colder months and usually solo. I love exploring and so far this truck has done a great job of helping me get out there. The...
Thanks again ;Sweet
With the clamp tightened down (I must have not gotten it tight enough the other day when I replaced the heater hoses) and the antifreeze cleaned off of the heater core so far I have not seen or smelled any leaks.
We'll see how long that reservoir stays full! LOL
Thanks for the reply's everyone its been very helpful. I'm thinking I'd better pressure test everything to get a better idea of what's going on. Oh man, if the heads or block are cracked that would suck really really bad!

Hope they enjoy it that ELC aint cheap!! LOL

What you're seeing is pretty typical of a N/A IDI. My 86 ran great around town but it couldn't get out of it's own way driving through the...
Fwiw I've sworn off Interstate Mega-tron batteries.. Never again. Last three I had (new) swelled up and started leaking within the first year.
I've been using CAT batteries (I have no idea who makes these) and they have been awesome. 880 CCA's / group 65. The price was right too...
