My business partners father just recently lost all gears but L & R in his '99 7.3 4x4.
This happened abruptly and now the trans will still go into all gears but only pulls in low and reverse.
Im thinking maybe a roll pin or the 1,2,3,4 shift fork may be the culprit.
Anyone here have any experience with repair on these units?
Also the trans never had any grinding issues or abuse/neglect, it was driven by a 77 year old man, and the fluid was always changed twice a year since new, he's the original owner.
