Zf 5 Fluid Capacity

Well When I looked in the manual it states I believe 6.8 pints of ATF in the ZF5, well dont that come out to being around 7-8 quarts? I was only able to get around 3.5 quarts of ATF in the transmission through the fill port on the side. Any suggestions?

The zf5 2x4 calls for 3.4 quarts of atf ( 6.8 pts= 3.4 qts )

Ok thanks, beings mine was out of a 2x4 f450.....How much does a 4x4 hold?

Actually, I just looked it up and there doesnt'appear to be a differeance in the capacity of a zf between a 2x4 and a 4x4 box, however the additional for the transfer case:
Transfer Case,Warner 1345..........6.3 pints
Transfer Case,Warner 1356..........4.0 pints
