Cannot get clutch pedal to engage starter switch. Is there a way to jump around switch?

Can you safely start it outside the truck? If so, pop the hood and arc the solenoid on the passenger side fender. pull off the small wire and arc off the terminal with a bazillion wires coming off of it to the stud the little wire was removed from. Remember to be in neutral and parking brake on.
good luck

I will give that a try and see what happens. I thought the clutch switch had to be engaged.

Thanks!!

Look on the clutch pedal there are two wires that come off. I think they are yellow. One is hot, one is cold when clutch is not depressed completely. When you find the right ones, splice or cut them and wire them together. No more safety switch.

I had to do this on mine because I sometimes like to start in gear on bad hills and the switch was getting bad anyway.

Good luck.

I'm not sure about this, but if you have cruise control - bypassing the swich could screw it up.
