Has anyone removed and replaced the valve covers with out removing the intake manifold?

I gotta ask, but only because mine leaked when I got my truck: have you tightened them to the factory torque spec? I remember it was pretty light, like 7 foot pounds but mine were definitely "loose" and snugged up and quit leaking.

Good luck.

X2 what he said! Mine leaked, but the bolts were loose. Tightened 'em down and stopped the leak. Good luck with it!

the problem is that 6.2 6.5 valve covers are usually siliconed on, so tightening probably wont help.
