Have you ever adjusted valves on any other vehicle? It's the same job. If you haven't, just follow the instructions, it's not a big deal. Just keep track of which cylinder and which valve you should be working on. You don't need a barring tool, you can turn the engine by the alternator pulley nut. Be aware it will turn the opposite direction than it would if you used a barring tool, so you'll start at #1 cylinder and go backwards thru the adjustment order, instead of forwards.

There's a pin on the back of the timing gear case you push to make sure everything is lined up. If yours happens to be broken (like mine was) it's also no big deal. Just make sure the cam lobe is on the base circle (valve fully closed) when you adjust each valve.
