Uploading photos????

Just about every picture I try to upload or use as an avatar comes back with a message that it is too large. Is there a way to shrink these, or how are people using custom photos?

Avatars gotta be pretty small. Roughly 2 square inches or about 150 x 150

If you have photoshop or some other imaging software it will allow you to resize to 155x155(I think that's the size), then upload it. If you don't have the software you can download something for free from cnet or some freeware site.
