Hey guys my truck has been in the shop for three months and i dont have any more money to fix it. In the process of doing the rear main seal the service shop found a fuel leak dripping from the top left side of the motor dripping down to the bottom of the frame rail. now they dont know much about diesels and will send it to someone who does so im trying to avoid 600$. any advice on where it could be coming from. when i tried to attempt the rear main seal and in the process of removing the tranny is there any lines that can be pulled out on accident from the bottom by the tranny and running to the top of the motor? any help would be much appreciated!:hail

The return line from the injectors runs out the back of the engine on the left hand side, down the firewall and int the tank selector valve. It may have been disturbed when you were pulling the tranny. Be careful with it because it is rubber on the outside and has a 'plastic' liner that will kink if it gets bent.
