The true value of a 7.3 N/A engine?

I don't think an unknown engine from a pick-a-part should be used for a reference here. First of all, they're rare as hen's teeth in the junkyards around my neck of the woods; second, its hardly a little four banger we're talking about here. I would give 400 for one that ran, more for one that ran good with documented new parts.

I bought an entire pick-a-part engine as a possible core when rebuilding my engine, the block was junk. It had a broken piece in front between the cam gear and water jacket (how do you even break that?) and a bent rod. Heads were cracked (verified by magnaflux) too. So I got to keep a few pieces for spares and go to the scrapyard with everything else.

The 1990 engine is sold and gone.
The 1991 engine will be available when I'm ready to install the six-banger.

I ended up getting $325 for the 1990 engine (including the clutch assembly) and $600 for the 1991 engine.

I am pleased with the sales. ;Sweet
