So after a long failed project I need to store this truck for the winter. Brief recap of what happened: Changed head gasket, when I started it a head stud was leaking, pulled the head, found valve piston contact, found my lifters were pretty solid (thinking it was the lifters), finally found a snapped rocker arm as well.

The truck is in a barn at the moment, but we're going to move it up the hill. (if anyone is in the White Salmon, WA area.. and wants to give me a pull up a hill i'll give you some cash) The truck will sit outside for the winter. I know this isn't the best case scenario but it's all we can do.

I really don't want this thread to be about why any of this happened, I'd just like to know your opinion on the best way to store some parts. At the moment both heads are on, but the valley pan/intake manifold is not. The IP is obviously also not installed. All the glowplugs and injectors are in the heads. The IP is a baby moose... how should I store it? Is it best to just install it and prime it so it's sitting with fuel in it? Or can I just cap all the lines and let it sit? How about the engine itself. My plan was to just spray it down with some oil, and pretty much just set the valley pan/intake manifold on. I'd like to avoid using another valley pan gasket... and this motor will obviously come apart again.

I'll be back in WA and working on the truck in early April. Any advice is appreciated.
