slow crank when hot (fixed)

I was looking around for the thread I had originally about a year ago but was unable to find it. My truck was hard to start when it was hot. I changed batteries, starter and rebuilt my motor(unrelated). The problem ended up being someone butchering the connector for the the starter. I had looked at this before and thought this isn't great but it shouldn't effect the starting of the truck when hot but I guess I was wrong. Some people should have there tools taken away from them.

It doesn't even look like it was soldiered in at all. Was it crimped or what. Glad you got it fixed but going about it the hard way. Still nice to finally find what the issue was..

it was crimped but the lug wasn't large enough so they trimmed the wire to fit. crimping is good if you have the correct lugs and tools, just dont trim away 25% of the wire to make it fit.
