pyro questions

i got a free pyrometer and i just had a few questions about it
1. does the bulb come out of the black housing?
2. what do you think about the gauge, it has some rust on it.
3. does anyone know the size of tap, and drill bit i need?

that looks like a 194 bulb...and it should pop right out of that socket. I am not too sure on what size bit and tap you need to install that.....I think most pyro's are standard size thread....maybe someone with a little more expirence will chirp in. I am almost positive that it's 1/4 or 1/8 NPT though...

Anything is good when it's free! I got one for free from work out of the old dump truck....now I just gotta get a probe!

cant tell from the picture what size it is, measure it with a set of calipers and report back. its probably 1/8 npt though.

Call the Isspro factory in Portland Oregon. You need a fitting that gets placed in the exhaust before the probe.

yes you just drill and tap but i see what icanfixitall is saying there should be another threaded piece and that is the piece that goes into the manifold itself and then that probe screws into it. you might be able to just go to the store and match up an npt tap for that size and put it in.
