Originally my glow plug controller and solenoid was mid drivers side valve cover. The easiest way to get to it was take off the dog house and then the hypermax air intake.
After the second time the GP controller went bad I decided to move it to just above the drivers side headlight. Drilling a hole for a mounting bolt was easy. I ran the extra wire around the drivers side inner fender, around the battery. If you look closely you'll notice an extra black wire going to the red paper tabbed post on the GP solenoid. That is the ground circuit that the controller uses to make the solenoid close its circuit. I ran it through a spring loaded push button switch under my dash and then to a chassis ground. This way I can activate the solenoid even if the controller goes south again.
