Ported 7.3 idi heads

Hi guys, I just got my 7.3 turbo idi heads back from a reputation head shop. They were able to increase my intake flow by a good 20 cfm . They said the exhaust side flowed decent already. . They claim I may get 2 horsepower per added cfm. That would give me a potential gain of 40 hp which would be huge for these turbo iDis. Anyone done this before and seen results? I will find out when I get the truck back together. .thanks

I think I remember reading about someone doing something similar, but I cannot remember the outcome. So I am looking forward to seeing what you notice.

I think the power gains will highly depend on if you're going NA or Turbo.
Big flow increases like that will make more of a gain on a NA engine than a turbo engine.

Regardless of aspiration, you should see a gain somewhere.

Pair that with a cam, you should really see some gains.

The gains will most likely be in the upper rpm range, and not really noticeable in normal driving.
