I asked on another thread about this device and it got basically no traction so I thought I'd start another thread to cover it.

So everyone knows about the OEM fuel line heater on the hard line form the fuel filter to the fuel pump. I was wondering if anyone knew the specifics of this device?

Is it thermostatically controlled? At what temperature does it shut off if at all?

I'm about to replace the hard line with a hose to accommodate a fuel temp sensor and I'm considering using the wiring from this thing to power my VegTherm inline 12v heater.

I guess I could just put a test light on it and see when the light goes on or off...

But it would be much easier if someone had the info for me :)

I've been told that they don't come on, until the ambient temp is 30 degrees. Once above that, it shuts off.

That's what I was told... FWIW

The Ford Dealership acts dumber than a sack of rocks if you ask any questions and they are not collecting $70 and hour from you. At least that is my experience with them in my neck of the woods.
