My '97 PSD has stalled while driving in cold weather a couple times recently.... It does start right back up...... Just kind of a pain to start an automatic while still rolling.......

Any ideas much appreciated! Thanks!

Change your Cam Position Sensor. If it doesn't fix it, keep the old one in your glovebox as insurance as they are pretty prone to failing.

Thanks guys for the help. I will definitely pick up a new CPS. Is the CPS easy to swap out? Because it's really cold outside!! I am pretty new to the PSD.. just got the truck this summer, and lets just say it has not been well maintained.

CPS change, ya gotta lay on your back, pass side right next to the damper pulley, takes a 10mm socket with a real short extension, 1 bolt, then gentle pry it out, pulling and twist works also. Carefull when disconnecting the connector.
Check your ICP, if there is oil on the connector, change it, it could be your stalling problem. Check your IPR also, the tin nut can back off, the solenoid coil will float, sends the PCM into a dither.
