Personally, I would have avoided the electronically controlled 24 valve. I'd have gone with a mechanically injected 12 valve........ and with a different manufacturer.(DT360)
I also would have gone with a mechanical engine, also the DT360. But those 24V cummins run real nice. And with the computers you have the ability to turn it up and down from the drivers seat.

I wouldn't touch a 24V VP engine with a 10 foot pole, but, a common rail is niiiice. That's pretty much the truck I want to put together, only I want a crew shorty.
