Need some advice

so I'm looking at a 1990 7.3 idi with only 152,000 miles on it. He is the third owner and the a/c still works in it the only thing wrong is it needs glow plugs. So my question is it worth buying?? He is asking 7000 and I got it down to 5000 but it's 3 hours away from where I live. So would it be worth the drive?

Auto or Standard? What Cab? 4x4? Do you have pics? We could use some more info guy. Also, glow plugs are cheap.

Standard extended cab 4x4 its a clean pickup and no.

Id buy it. If it is free of mechanical issues and the body is clean and rust free but, I already own one so I am a bit bias. Are you able to get a maintenance history on it? Big thing is making sure the antifreeze has been treated with additives.

I would listen to him over me. I am a bit of an impulse buyer and I live in the rust belt so I tend to get my wallet out when I hear rust free. Glad you piped in IDIoit.

The powerstrokes here are all beat up and they all ask 10k with 350,000. The idis are getting hard to find this one looks to be in good shape the inside is in perfect condition and the body looks to be in great shape. I don't really want a powerstroke I like the fact the idi is simply no computers. I'll keep you guys posted how everything goes with it.

What part of the country is this in. That makes a difference. IDIoit is in Southern California...... Nice rust free trucks are cheap..... I live in Indiana, right in the middle of the rust belt, a nice low mileage, rust free truck commands a higher price, since there isn't one on every corner.

perhaps its worth looking out west!!!
