I took my cowl seal off, and slathered it with Ultra-Black...better than new

What is this stuff and where do you get it?

Guys.... There is actually a rubber washer like thing that sits under the filter housing wing nut. I usually pocket them when I'm "shopping" in the pick n pulls... But replacing the cowl seal is the best way to stop the rain water from leaking in..

Damn air cleaner hold down bolts! See John... should have put that turbo on. That fixes the problem. Glad you lucked out like I did when it happened to Lady Moose!

What is this stuff and where do you get it?

Permatex Ultra Black silicone...any auto parts store
Just take off the cowl strip, force the Ultra Black in any cracks with a thin coat on top and a thin bead on the back and put it back on

I had bigtime sellers remorse for letting that turbo go, but I needed the money. What can you do? I'm going to seal the cowl seal and go from there. I have the Banks Power Pack air cleaner lid, which holds water like a soup bowl. The seal held, it just was so deep that it was over the original air cleaner bolt that I use w/ a spacer. Time to re-engineer a little bit.
