Guys.... There is actually a rubber washer like thing that sits under the filter housing wing nut. I usually pocket them when I'm "shopping" in the pick n pulls...:sly But replacing the cowl seal is the best way to stop the rain water from leaking in..

Damn air cleaner hold down bolts! See John... should have put that turbo on. That fixes the problem. Glad you lucked out like I did when it happened to Lady Moose!

I had bigtime sellers remorse for letting that turbo go, but I needed the money. What can you do? I'm going to seal the cowl seal and go from there. I have the Banks Power Pack air cleaner lid, which holds water like a soup bowl. The seal held, it just was so deep that it was over the original air cleaner bolt that I use w/ a spacer. Time to re-engineer a little bit.
