Yea the 40% GM owns in Izuzu on paper. That was the Izuzu engineers gift to GM . Please don't give GM that kind of credit. GMC = Get a Mechanic Coming.

Just me but for a HD work truck I want something with a straight axle & a real truck frame that angles up instead of down. (In otherwords a FORD)

What about a hino? Or an F650 with a CAT? There is the FORD LCF with the 4.5L diesel?

dont go near that damn lcf!!!! I see way too many of those at work and there arent that many on the road ( I times i think every one of them in the portland area is sitting in our lot waiting to be unbroke!!) its international programs and ford pieces thrown on. Its a stepchild that was neglected by both parents. I want to yank a motor and dump it in a f150 for my fiance and was nearly thrown out of the shop for the idea alone.

now the f650 idea is a good one, thats not my shop but I could sure take a walk over the hill and ask how they are from the guys that fix em.
