Long or Short valve stem seals on 6.9?

I did a search but couldn't find an answer. I bought a set of "long" valve stem seals for my 6.9. On both the o'reilly and rockauto websites they had both long and short listings for the 6.9. When I received them in the mail, I looked at the back of the box and they have only a 7.3 listed, 88-94. Can I use these on a 6.9? Felpro part SS 72628-1

yes they will be fine.
some 6.9's had a retainer that was in the way of the long seal.IIRC , but they are few and far between.
