I did a lift on a Ramcharger a few years back myself. It's really not all that hard you basically just unhook the axles from the truck totally and install new taller springs - then adjust everything that connects from the axles to other workings of the truck by either lengthing them or tipping the axle to relieve angle problems.

To fully install a suspension lift "Kit" (I'll use the term kit loosely) it will take a full day to get the basics done then you will end up spending a day or so tweaking everything in as in nailing down driveline angles and lengthing the brake lines and such. So figure on a full two days worth of work.

How much you looking to move the suspension? 4 inches, 5 - 6 or more?

I used a Superlift brand back in the day and was pretty happy with it after installing it - this was even with finding out that they don't package all the little crap that you will need. I know from looking around back then (early 90's) that no one packaged everything you needed to do a full complete install.

do a skyjacker lift kit. the tuff country kit is not a kit made for a diesel.unless you are going to use custom springs, skyjacker is the only spring made for a diesel in our trucks. i have the skyjacker 6 inch kit with rear blocks. they make a 2,4,6 inch kit.skyjacker.com you can look at some of the trucks on the readers rigs section. they are just front lift springs, rear blocks and a steering and sway bar correction.pay like 900 or so for the kit sounds reasonable
