Looks like they still make the lift kits. Honestly the price seems pretty reasonable for the time savings of figuring it out and fabricating it yourself.

Agreed! Thank you.
I went and sat back there again and realized that the lift still won't make it bearable for an adult to sit back there. The problem is no space for your knees. And the front passenger seat can't move forward.
Oh well. The dog likes it just fine.

lmiwelding.com out of montana sells back seat lift kits they are around $150
you can make your own lift kit, but the issue is getting the upper back part of the seat to still latch.
