I've had to do that to two gas vehicles, drove my mustang for 2 years with only half throttle. I think I will go check my truck, just to see if there is any slack in it.



One could use this slack in the throttle-cable business to advantage if they have kids that drive or a lead-foot wife.

Just alter the cable such that it only allows about half-throttle.

It may not decrease the top speed; but, it would for certain slow them down getting there.


A guy I know did just that to his daughter's 4-wheeler; he fixed the throttle-cable to only allow about 1/3 power. ;Sweet

also dont have the truck running...or its wide open throttle...and scary with that fan spinnin right there!!:rotflmao

You think your fan is scary? Mine is locked to the pulley, imagine your fan with the clutch engage all the time - and yes, I have ran it at WOT like that with my hand in there manually moving the throttle arm on the IP :eek: lol

But my cable is good, I still have the full travel out of both the pedal and the IP throttle arm.
