Timing meter new alpha unit...
I'm just curious as I forgot how this critter reacts (been a LONG time since I used this only put 30 k on the 93 since I got it...)
so when ya run it up to 2000 and read the degrees say 9.5..
If you run it up higher, is the meter supposed to read advance beyond the "say 9.5" mentioned above?
Like 11.8 or more?

I'm guessing that it will. In my opinion, nothing but the reading at 2000 RPM matters since that's where these are timed.

In theory the faster the engine runs the earlier you would inject diesel. But there would be a point of diminishing return. (The diesel will only burn so fast.)

I would think your timing would advance a little more than 9.5* when running at over 2,000rpm, but not sure how much. I don’t try to rev over 2,000 rpm, because there is no load on the engine. So I have never tried.

To answer your other question the meter should read the correct degrees at a higher rpm.
