IDI GAUGE PROBLEMS

WHAT WOULD BE WRONG IF YOUR FUEL GAUGE DROPPS WAY TO FAST, ITS KINDA ANNOYING, EVEN THOUGH I KNOW HOW FAR I CAN GO, BUT WOULD IT BE IN THE CLUSTER OR WOULD IT BE FUEL SENDING UNIT STUCK? THANKS

Bad fuel sending unit in tank, IMHO.....

My 85 6.9 did that just after 1/2 thing would drop below empty!! Mine was the sender in the tank!

it does it on both, its my old truck that i sold him, yes it was quite annoying, and my new truck does the same thing so it sucks
