hx35 question

i drive a ford so be nice
but i got an hx35 i want to put on my idi (modding the motor heavily)
but i need to know more about this turbo
ive read that theres different wastegate settings and different flanges etc. i think its off this year truck so heres the numbers i found on it

Any HX35 turbo with have a T3 inlet flange on the turbine, and 3 in V band clamp on the turbine outlet. They will also have a 4 in compressor inlet, and 3 in V band compressor outlet. Wastegate settings are adjustable with a boost elbow, which blocks air pressure from getting to the w/g diaphragm, they are not adjustable any other way. Factory gates open between 18-22 psi, depending on original application. I can't decipher from those numbers what year it is, but it's one of two sizes. There's a thread concerning these turbos in the IDI forum.

88 beast, Where did you get the stroker crank from? The 7.3's and 6.9's have the same crank I think...

yes theyre the same crank mine was done by a local engine shop the p/o had it done
