Santa brought me a Ferret timing adapter, so now I can dial in the timing on my rigs! If anyone has any helpful hints, I'm all ears!!!

Ok guys, let me rephrase this, I have everything hooked up to the truck, and the timing light is working, but I can't see any marks by the magnetic pickup spot near the crank. Can someone give me a step by step on timing the truck with a ferret pulse timing adapter???
