Can someone help with some info on a GM 6110?

I'm looking at a Canadian boat that has one, and i dont know a thing about a 6110.
It may be a Canadian designation.

I'm thinkin it's a 1960's 10-15 liter 4 stroke that probably makes 275 hp in a marine application.
It's in a heavy 54x13x8'6" wooden boat.

With basic info i can gauge fuel consumption and other cost of ownership issues...

Thanks!

Actually, if it's the engine I think it is, the 6-110 is a 2 stroke...the 110 is a larger version of the -92 series, -71 series, -53 series, etc. That would make it a 660ci (don't know the litres) inline-6. The 275 hp number makes sense.

One of the old Scout boats I worked on a few times had two 6-110's...this was in a 65' wood-hull boat. The two engines pushed the boat along at a good 12 knot clip; don't know how fast she was capable of, though (the guy in the bridge is generally more concerned with fuel than speed)...and they seemed to run fine without any problems or anything on those lines.

Is the boat a single screw or a twin screw?
