375 degree temp is bad mmmmkay.
3000 rpm stall on a gas motor is cool on a diesel not so much.
The converter on my c6 let go today.
Not sure what went but it sounded like a handfull of bolts in a coffee can.
I'll cut it open and post pics next week after I swap in another slush box.

Well what caused the 375 degrees atf temp and how are you fixing that temp issue. Simpley replacing the C6 is not going to change how it operated or what you were doing when it reached that temp.

The new trans did fix it as the heating problem was when the converter smoked itself.
It had over 300k on it and has been gradually going downhill for a while now.
Monday I'll perform an autopsy on the old converter and post pics.

Thanks for explaining what happened. That amount of miles is telling of how stout these C6 trans really are behind an idi engine...

The bad part is I have a zf from a gasser waiting to go in but no time to drill the bell and do the swap.
