hello all im looking at awapping in a diesel into my jimmy 4wd im thinking a 4bt cummins or a isuzu i want to keep my new 4l60e ive seen some ranger 4bt's one pushing 900 hp getting like 35mpg that is far more hp than i can afford but thats what i want hi hp and even higher mpg


sooooo if i can find a bread truck with the 3.9 can i pull all the eletronics out and put it in my jimmy since itll be a gm trans and gauges in the gm body bread truck

i know they have all the adapters you need...just get all the comp. and wire harness from the donor and you should be good to go

Never thought about an Isuzu motor before, they are a lot quieter than the 4bt and just as tough.

...and there are a TON of those motors out there and parts are a lot more accessible.

I wonder if the 5.2 motor they started using in 99 is suitable for swaping? I think its an E motor but they make big power compared to the 3.9, IIRC they are 210 hp
