first gen banks turbo any good?

im looking at buying a first gen banks set up it dosen't have the down pipe or cross over pipe what did the cross over look like and what kinda performance can i expect from this kit Boost number wise

If its cheap, get it. Way too many variables to predict boost numbers.

Any boost is better than NA. Get it rebuilt and put it on. You will not be sorry.

Here are some pics of the cross-over pipe setup. The picture on the right shows what it would look like if you were looking from the back of the motor towards the front of the motor.

im looking for first gen banks parts for a manual i bought a first gen turbo kit a couple weeks ago but i think its for a auto but my truck is a zf5, looking for crossover/y pipes and the pedastol if its different than the auto one.

Well the ungated variant is what I had on the 88 it was just noticeably slower outta the hole but being non gated would be on the game on a full pull towing.
Beware YOU are the wastgate, so you have to drive the pyro.

Hypermax are non gated… that’s what is in my 86, with a studded 7.3…

Due to EGTs, you can’t stay in it as long as I would like…

It’s in my shop right now, getting some brake upgrades, oil cooler resealed, and 4.10 gear swap… I need to get it finished…

I ordered an intercooler…

Then it’s game on…
