I need to replace my exhaust and would like comments about keeping the converter and just strait pipe it after the turbo to the rear. My truck is 1997 f350

If your state does not do smog checks, why keep the Cat?

Its less restriction for the engine lets put it that way. Diamondeye makes turbo back kits for a good price

Not the exact same pipe but the exact same issue.....pipe flattened down to 1 1/2 “ or so. This was to clear the cab that went in to production in 1980 before diesels were thought of yet. Instead of modifying the cab they flattened the pipe.
