Engine Vin #'s

Goodmorning guys,

Looking at a couple of reman 6.9 engines and want to make sure that these are the "B" blocks that are NOT prone to cracking around block heater. If someone can verify the vin #'s, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Good to go on both. Starting number for that change is 173828.

(BTW, it's not a VIN [hint: what does the V stand for].... )

Haha yep good point. Guess it's considered the engine serial number. Thx for the correction.

How high did these numbers go? Got an 86 that's 344843, I see here they got at least to 407286. Anyone know how many more there were in 1-1.5yrs of 6.9 after mine?
