what is that supposed to do? I thought most people cut the "soup bowl" out, that one is casted in.

That is just one part of Banks "Stinger" kit for the N/A IDI. It came with the larger air cleaner lid, a larger K&N filter, a complete larger exhaust with a good flowing muffler, a free flowing Y-pipe with a pyro bung, and a pyrometer. It also gave instructions to turn up the fuel on the IP.

That guy wants too much for that thing. I sold the entire kit sans the pyrometer a few months ago for $200.

I let mine go for $50, and that was WITH a K&N filter. It's a nice lid for $50. Not so great for more than that.
