cruise control with engine swap and aftermarket e4od controller

Have any of you guys got the cruise control to work after swapping the engine into another chassis?Ive got the engines out of both the donor truck and the 78 it is going into. I'm planning on using the US gear controller for my e4od. I'm replacing the gaskets, painting, and doing a few performance mods while the engine is out. I saved the factory cruise control unit but I'm not sure how it works or what drives it. I would assume something from the TPS and transmission controller but I'm not really sure. If any of you guys know some input would be appreciated.
