I tested my faucet fuel pump the other day (new pump 10 hrs on it), was curious what fuel PSI was. Installed a new fuel filter spliced a t in line right before the injection pump. I installed a mechanical transmission pressure test gauge that will read from 0-40 PSI. With KOEO fuel PSI was reading 10.25 psi. started truck and it dropped to 10 psi. just sitting I reved it up to 2500RPM and it would drop to 7 PSI. My gauge test hose is not long enough to run into the cab, so I tapped it to the windshield. pulled out of my shop and it was dark out so I could not see the gauge. Backed it back into the shop and decided to just power brake the truck and see what it would do. I mashed the pedal to the floor and right before the tires let loose the needle plummeted to 0 psi. I let off the throttle and slowly stepped back into it. When RPMS were reaching 2,000 RPM i was already down to 1 psi, any more throttle and drops to 0 psi. I am going to scrap the Faucet and get a Holley Red installed.
