I'm thinking of just doing a 1" puck lift for my turbo install and ease of future mods, instead of cramming it in and trimming the sound shield. What do you guys think, and is 1" enough?

Well as long as I'm in there would another inch hurt? Other than the fan shroud, is there any other complications an extra inch would cause?

Its an 86' CC. I dug around in there today and ended up cutting the sound shield out anyway. I was hoping to avoid doing that, but I'm getting bored waiting for parts

1 inch with new poly cab mounts makes it a breeze.

OP, if you need some pucks just wait a couple of months. They are all in use in Canada right now but I could send you some come warmer weather. Hell, the Leafs are scheduled to be done with theirs pretty soon!
