another new member from FTE

hey guys i thought i would join the other half of the IDI family and introduce myself.(my username at FTE is zakk) i just bought a 87 f250 6.9 with a ats turbo about a month ago and loving it so far!! i dont know much about the idi or diesels in general but i am learning really fast at FTE so i figure ill just double my learning speed by joining oil burners too haha

Welcome to the forum.... I feel we have a colltective knowledge base that is far deeper than any dealership anywhere. Most of the line mechanics at the dealer have never seen or worked on these idi engines... Thats so sad... These are very easy engines to repair...

haha very true im not to bad so far... truck $1050, batteries $250, GP's $100, and tomorrow return line kit $33. much better then my old 1969 f250 i had
