An idi will drag twins on a flatbed all day, add into the mix a fully rocked enclosed race trailer and your cost and maint. Go up. There are some verry impressive heavy haul #'s from members here!

4.10 is your base. if you are pulling more than 10k/lbs gross trailer weight, 4.56-4.63 but you'll need to find someone to put them in.

I have a 89 f250 460 c6 and i believe 4.10s and i can barley crack 10 mpg empty keeping it at 60mph. It is all stock. My 94 7.3 with a zf5, 35 in tires 4.10s lifted 4 inches, and a lumber rack dragging in the wind and i get 17 mpg with a couple hundred pounds of tools in it all the time. Neither is fast, but they pull anything.
