86 ats turbo exhaust pipes

hello, i need some help . i got my c6 tranny and transfer case back in and ready to put the two big pipes back into the turbo and is there any thing i can put on the ends of the pipes to seal better before i shove them in there,it didnt sound like they sealed real good last go round. thanks for any help.

I asked this question in one of my previous threads about my moms new 6.9.
I believe the best thing mentioned was to use a chimney dope that they sell at Home Depot, or something along those lines.

You can get some exhaust assembly paste. It's made for just that purpose. Surfaces need to be clean for that stuff to work

thats what i used and it seemed to work well, (that and i bottomed the pipe on the manifold the second time through:angel: )
