I used a pillar originally intended for a 92-97 f series, and cut it down. I really don't know how its possible to fit 4 gauges on these pillars but I guess its been done. lol I then used a bonding material I purchased from Menards, get two packages of the stuff because if you've never mixed body filler before you wont get this done right the first time around. It comes in a surrenge looking thing and you have to mix it up. It will dry in like 5 minutes, it'll also make ya feel real good if you don't have proper ventilation. After I got it all molded together I mixed up what I had left and used it as a filler to blend the two pieces together as best as I possibly could. After that I used a dremel to cut out the back side of the original pillar to allow for the gauges. Wasn't really that hard and I'm sure it could be made to look better but I was happy with what I had and left it at that.

Holy cockpit batman, lol. 14 aftermarket guages, wow. I will look into the 92-7 stuff and making myself a pillar pod. I was looking for somewhere else to mount them, but its looking slim. Thanks

This is where I have my pyro, I wouldnt recommend it for a gauge that needs constant monitoring. Going up hills with corners equals frantically trying to find the gauge. The other three are under the dash in front of the 4x4 shifter if that gives you a picture.

my question is, with all those gauges to watch, when do you look at the road???

You don't of course. I have 8 that I mounted up near the head liner. I bought a "shelf it" from JC Whitney. It mounts to the factory visor mounts and you relocate your visors under it. I then cut a piece of oak to attache to the lip on the front of the shelf it.

It's not perfect but I can see all of the most important ones without moving my head, the volt and fuel level are a bit tougher, but my eyes are on them about half the time I'm driving.

I can bury my speedometer to. My truck supposedly has 3.73 gears.

My truck does not have the vents on either side of the cluster so thats where I mounted my pyro and water temp gauge.

a 3.55 n/a truck will bury the speedometer. a 3.08 compound turbo truck:dunno never was that brave.

i didnt know a 3.55 truck with C6 would bury it, but i do know a 3.55 t-19 will, just think what a 3.55 t-19 truck with a psd turbo and 4500 rpm will do:eek:
