company '99 24 v was idling then drop in gear...flame out:eek:
Started up then died again cookoo

Have fuel all way to inj pump banjo fitting.

Is this a similiar to PSD CPS type failure :confused:

how's the fuel pressure?

sounds like it could be the injection pump.

Geo......I assume this is an auto tranny.....if so reset the tps.

turn key on but dont start

slowly push throttle to floor and slowly back to idle position.

turn key off

rtestart and see ifin it works better

had one do this...turned out to be a locked up torque convertor....does it lunge really hard before it dies? if so, this may be your problem..if not...not the t/c this time

Thanks for the info......Kevin, cookoo on the TPS thingy reset :D

T/C locked up :confused: cookoo I've had std trannys for the past 600 odd thousand miles LOL but I'll look into it...if the damn thing will start -cuss

Crazy thought but it may be the security system. Make sure that you unlocked it with the remote (if it has one) If the headlights are flashing this may be the problem.

I know I was stumped on that for a couple hours once and thats exactly what the truck would do. I started it and it was ideling just fine. As soon as I pulled it into gear it died. After that it wouldn't start again.
