I found a 1993 f-Superduty for sale with a 7.3/5spd for $2000
I was looking at it thinking of swaping the 7.3/5spd in to my 1995 F-350 cc 4x4 with a 5.8/5spd.
Would this be a good swap to do?
I'm looking for more pulling power and some better mileage.I'm getting 11-13 empty, 8-10 towing.When I'm towing(5000-7000lbs),the 5.8 can't hold 65 at all,it has 188k on it.

Actually it would because the 5 speed is alreay set up for a transfer case (its a 4wd unit, but with a parking brake on the end). Price is dependant on condition but i dont know much aboout that.

1993 super duty?

I thought the super duty was late 90s.
the REAL ORIGINAL superduty in modern times did exist from 88-97
really easy to tell....they have 10 lug nuts on each wheel.

There is only ONE TRUE F-SUPERDUTY. It comes with a 15k GVR rating and 5.13 gears. Ford now uses the term as a marketing gimmick.

be a shame to cut it up if its a decent truck.itll pull anything you ask it to pull.and itll carry things that it legally shouldnt be carying with the right springs in the back.

I cant imagine. Even with my truck, I run out of bed space before I even worry about overloading. the reading bed is narrower though (4x8)

10,000 pounds of truck frames on my carrier and sat perfectly level.

i put the HD spring packs in it with multi leaf helpers.the main pack had the same amount of leaves as my factory packs but each leaf was as thick as 2 of my stock leaves :D:sly

good gosh man. I bet when you went over a bump, the tires pushed the ground down, instead of the ground pushing the tires up.
