tranny question
I have a 97 12 valve with an automatic...I see a lot of torque convertors advertised, anybody have any experience with what any of them...am looking for probably a triple disk with a low 1400 to 1700 stall speed...there also seems to be a pretty good spread on the prices...also I tow a 30' fifth...- Big AL

intake manifold for a 97 cummins...
Hi guys, anybody out there put an aftermarket intake manifold on a 97 Dodge Cummins with the hydro boost brake setup, I have contacted CFM, ATS, AFE and no seeems to make one that will fit my setup...any ideas of brands I may have missed or you know will work...thanks :dunno- Big AL

Front brake upgrades?
I remember reading and saving a post I read (I believe Whitmore wrote) about using 1 ton cylinders in the rear wheels and how it made a huge difference...was wondering if there is a similar fix for the fronts...I don't need a fix now but am compiling data from this forum for future projects, it...- Big AL

First Trip to Desert...
Well I took my first trip to the desert (Imperial Sand Dunes) from San Diego and after a few minutes in the mountains was so glad I sold my 95 Ford F250 with a 460 Gas hog V8. My new 97 12 valve towed my 30 ft 5th wheel loaded down out the desert on 1/2 a tank of fuel and had no trouble pulling...- Big AL

That Jet Sound
Recently I was at a gas station when the guy next to me started his Ford PS...at idle it sounded like a jet kinda idling and when he gassed it it really sounded good...guess it was the turbo and a big exhaust...is this correct or could there be more to it...- Big AL

4" or 5" exhaust
97 12 valve...only want to do this once so which is better...4" of 5" exhaust...also what brands do you like...same thing for intakes and cold air setups...will be towing a 30' 5th wheel and need power and fuel economy...thanks- Big AL

Gauges, which ones are best
Hi, recently bought 97 12 valve, 4x4, would like to start fixin her up...any ideas on which brand of gauges are best and also which gauges to choose from...pyro, boost, trans temp, oil temp...and so on...one last thing who makes the best pillar 3 pod for gauge install...thanks for the advice...AL- Big AL
