    update.... got it all fixed and new ip in and runs like a top!!! I want to thank everyone who helped me especially Russ(Typ 4) for talking on the phone and telling step by step how to fix the gear problem. THIS SITE ROCKS!!

    ok i might not be saying this right..... when the ip was removed the filler neck housing was still intact to the ip... when we got it out and set it on workbench.... we remove the cover on the front which expsed the three bolts ...once we removed the bolts the gear fell out onto the bench...

    well i decided to put my new ip in..... i didnt have a book for my truck but my buddy(who is in diesel school) said he would give me a hand. We un bolted the filler neck for the oil and unhooked all the lines at the top of injectors... when we pulled it out he unbolted the cover on the front of...

    im getting close to being ready to install my pyro, boost and new volt meter.. how hard do you guys think it will be to wire up??? which wires do i splice into for the ignition wires...and the dimmer switch for the headlights??? any help is much appreciated. ;Sweet

    smokes alot when first starts when cold

    well i would imagine the temp outside is a bit chilly your way?? its normal when its cold outside for it to run a little rough at first and smoke on start up... my truck does it all the time

    what size isspro ammeter would work for my truck??? 60 amp, 100 amp, 40 amp? im not an electrician LOL , and a buddy of mine has a 60 amp that he will sell to me for 15 bucks brand new.... hopefully that one will work :dunno

    got the oil pan gasket on today

    oil pan gasket first drain the oil. take all the pan bolts off. on my truck they where 7/16 bolts drop it down as far as you can( only about 2-3 inches to play with scrape any rtv off if there is any(when i did this i had a vaccuum against the pan so as i scraped te old off it didnt fall...

    panel the panel is custom made...brother in law works in a manufacturing plant so he the equipment to bend the stainless panel :thumbsup:
