Nice tip about the loose connector. Mine does that and I'll check it out tomorrow. I unhooked all the battery connections and cleaned them all up and put them back together and it still does it, so I'll try the connector.

I have done this operation from beginning to end and I can give you a few pointers. The first would be: Pressure wash engine area and degrease! I was head to toe in grease for weeks! Also, label everything, photograph each step and have an area where you can lay all the parts out and not trip...
Well, my machine shop put the new pistons on the rods so do I assume they put them on the right way? Because I paid attention to the direction of the pistons.

I'll try the baby powder thing, I looked last night and the valley pan didn't have fuel in it. I'm assuming that it won't "dry up" if it has accumulated there...

I sprung a leak the other day and it wasn't the injectors or the return lines either. I did see fuel leaking down onto the exhaust pipe behind the engine. I need to spend some more time looking around to see what happened.

Hi there,
I need two sensors off the engine, the high idle temperature sender that screws into the block on the passenger side and the other temperature sender that screws into the driver's side of the block. I think that it is the high coolant temperature sender or something like that. It...

3. Headlights seem dim, but I've seen the...
I ported mine while I had it all apart. Just cleaned everything up and smoothed it out. I did try to match the intake to the manifold but there was so much material to remove I wasn't able to gt it perfectly matched. I don't really have any idea if it did a bit of good.

I think he means this stuff is for our engines, even though he put IDI and Powerstroke in the same sentence!:backoff
Hi all,
I have the rear end apart and I took one of the hubs off the shaft to look at it and this seal came apart and I'm having trouble finding a replacement. I have dual rear wheels and this seal looks like it is in three pieces: an outer dust seal and an smaller inner piece that lays...
Hi all,
I have been trying to time my engine and the local shops all want to time by ear and don't have the meter to time it. I bought a Snap-on MT480 on ebay but it didn't come with the luminosity probe, so that went nowhere. Anyone have one that they would be willing to send to me to use...
