My truck rides like a rock in the front, almost no travel at all. If you look at the pics the builder used a torch cut spring to level the truck in the front. I am looking for a leveling kit to replace that bottom cut spring, the kind you would use if you added a giant snow plow or something...
My truck seems to hit 3200 really fast in second and third and feels like it want to keep pulling. Is it common to modify it to come on a little later? Is it dangerous for the engine?
Anybody ever tried one of these instead? Not sure if it would fit a serp belt setup with the vacuum pump up top but should work for the older trucks, I think the threads are right.

I was looking for relays and came across this, might work as an almost out of the box relay kit.

I searched but couldn't find specific info. I found a deal on a 2001 4R100, I will be using a baumann TCM setup so the electronics dont matter. The only physical thing I see is the torque converter has 6 bolts but it looks like it interchanges with a 4 bolt E4OD one, can anyone confirm this...
Before the E40d haters come after me, I have a 4 door bronco, not a pickup. I dont really haul or tow with it. I thought I would be happy with the ZF5 but I drive mostly around town and am constantly wishing for an auto between stoplights. If I find a gear vendors for around 1K before the right...
Anybody know if you can take a 460 E4od and drill the other holes and bolt it to a IDI like the ZF mod? I think I want to convert my truck to auto and finding a decent gear vendors and C6 seems harder.
I got this off a member a while back. I cut the 2.5 in outlet off, ordered a mild steel vband set off ebay, created a gap between the vband and outlet using welding wire and then welded it inside and out. It is solid as ever. Only thing is when I went to swap it out this last weekend the bolts...
In my 77 when I let out the clutch to take off from a stop if I dont let it out just right the truck stalls. Even when I get it right it bogs a little and lets out a big puff of smoke and if I punch the go pedal it will fall on its face for a second and then roar to 2800. In my buddies 86 6.9 he...
I have heard this statement many times on the forum after a SMF or ZF5 swap, "I use such and such fluid and I have no rollover noise"
Well I used lucas part synthetic ATF after my ZF swap and I have absolutely no rollover noise on the road. After the swap I was even wondering what folks were...
I built a bumper around a surplus mil-spec winch and found out the relays on it are 24V. I drew a diagram of how I think I can get 24V and it seems sound but I would like a second opinion or 10.
In the top diagram is how the batts are currently cabled.
To use the winch I would physically...
I am making a trip to the pick n pull this weekend or next. One of the things on my list is electric fans. For those of you that have done this already, what makes and models should I be looking for to grab a setup from?
Did you wire from a manual switch or use a thermostat? My truck runs...
Looking for information from the collective. I am getting conflicting information about using a 7.3 flywheel on a 6.9 from different sources. The vendor is telling me their kit will work with any year idi 6.9 or 7.3 and the manufacturer tells me they are different and you can't interchange...
Found this while doing research on my ZF vibration. I did not believe it but after I watched the video I believe. This guy is a little loony but he gets alot of props for his ride!!

History is I bought this trans of craigslist from a dead guy at an estate sale. He was rebuilding a 93 F250 and had "rebuilt" the trans and was in the process of rebuilding the engine when he had a heart attack.
The Problem- There is actually a vibration through out the rpm band but it is...
I have had my ZF for about a year, just not enough time to put it in since I daily drive my truck. On Monday something in my t19 let loose on the way to work. Not sure if it was the clutch or the trans itself but I was at a light with the clutch pushed in and all of the sudden the whole truck...
What sensor would cause the brake light to come on a 1984 F250 brake systems? I thought it was the weeping wheel cylinder so I replaced it, bled all four and its still on. Also the brakes feel very weak, almost like there is something wrong with the assist but the vacumm is in spec.
I did...
Hey guys, this is on my friends truck, it runs and drives fine but it will die out when the throttle is let off coming up to a stop. It will idle when started fine and if you let of really slow it will idle but if you let off quickly like coming up on a quick stop it dies out. He did fill up...
Just looking for the elbow that comes off the turbo to the downpipe or would consider the whole core if the price is right.
PM me if you got one.
Thanks,
JR
I believe I have a dana 60 rear in my truck but I am not sure, the drums are one with the hub and I have to use a giant 1 9/16 socket to remove these 2 locking nuts and there is a keeper in there very similar to the d60 front...
Anyway, when I get in my truck first thing in the morning I...
I just need some help figuring out this clutch linkage, this is what I got from the yard
Unfortunately it was the only 80-86 ford manual in the yard and the master was gone already. I dont even see a place to put a rod or anything in the pedal. What am I missing?
Can I grab...
We have no choice but to do a full rebuild on this engine. The #8 piston is cracked in half!! This is the one that had the injector stuck open. Also lots of glowplug tip damage from the PO.
I would like some advice from those who have done a full build. I have heard it said on this forum that...
Let this be a lesson to you guys running old injectors, this was a sweet running IDI and all the cylinders were 400+PSI and the #8 got stuck open and killed that cylinder in 1 day. We had it pop tested and the shop said it would even hold 10psi.
Pulled the 6.9 with the dead hole out today...
